I knew from the beginning that creating this magazine would be the most difficult challenge that I have ever undertaken. The goal of ending Political Polarization in the United States, even with the very best of plans, is unattainable. I have wondered if this magazine would make any difference at all, or if it might even aggravate the problem I have resolved to mend. Changing even one person’s mind is to erase a lifetime of conditioning, and to replace it with the impudence to understand.
